Happy Pride Month! There is a liberating breath of relief when you can enjoy a month where people are celebrating the beauty of who they actually are!
Although our society has taken many steps toward the acceptance of gay rights, I feel there is still much stigma against other non-conventional types of relationships. These misconceptions are prevalent in both heterosexual and homosexual communities. I have seen this discrimination often… For instance, a gay friend of mine posted the following anecdote from her step-son on Facebook:
